Finally! We are back online! After over a year of server issues we have finally found a host that can handle us. The great news is that there was almost no data loss even though we had two server crashes that wiped out the entire site. We will continue working on small bugs and layout improvements. If you find a bug please post it on the Site Bugs forum. Thanks!

Here's a topic every mapper needs to know, and I'm needing help w/ it right now...

I've gone through valve.rad and lights.rad in the tools file, compiled the map, and the light texturing seems to work... the problem is that you can see the brush through walls! Also, in console, it says "Non-sprite set to glow!"

Could there be a problem if I set the brightness of a texture I didn't want lit to 000 ?

000 is not light at all?

there are 4 sets of numbers. The 1st,2nd,& 3rd are the color, the last set is what you can change to add brightness to the texture.

well, I don't want any lighting on that texture, so I made it 000, right? and I don't see any light coming from it now... but it does show through walls...

no light? dont add it to the lights.rad file

If it's already added by default, rename the texture and use it as a custom texture
