where do i save textures?

i keep on making maps without using any textures but when ever i try to load cs opens up then closes like 10 seconds later. then i decide to try to open up cs and my map is dere in bsp format. im like wtf but i go ahead and play it but when it was starting up the server the computer decide to pis me off and closes cs and says 'a fatal error has occoured. could not fine gam.wad' or something like dat. then im like wtf i didnt even use any textures.

so anyone of u guys know wats up wit my computer?

i try to fix it for a week now but my computer keeps sayin it cant find gam.wad every time

how many wads do you have loaded into hammer?
more than 8 can cause problems.

all wads should be in the cstrike folder

oh that might be my problem. my wads are in the valve folder. i only loaded 4 wads on anyway so it cant be the number of wads thats causing problems.
